First Draft to be Shared with the Community

The first draft of the City’s new zoning ordinance will be released on March 21st at the Stakeholder Advisory Committee Meeting.

Wednesday, March 21

Stakeholder Advisory Committee Meeting – 2 p.m.

City County Building, Small Assembly Room, City County Building

Mayor Rogero, City Council, and Planning Commissioners are invited to attend and participate in a discussion with the Stakeholder Advisory Committee members, Camiros, and staff. The meeting is open to the public.

Thursday, March 22

Community Meeting – 5:30 p.m.

Knoxville Public Works Service Center, 3131 Morris Avenue.

The meeting will begin with a presentation of the draft ordinance followed by an open house. The Recode consultant team and City and MPC staff will be available for questions and comments following the presentation.

Saturday, March 24

Knoxville Neighborhoods Conference

Knoxville Marriott, 501 E Hill Ave.

Camiros Consultant Arista Strungys and MPC staff will discuss Recode Knoxville in a workshop at the annual conference. Though the conference is free, registration is required to participate and to attend this and other workshops. See the 2018 Neighborhood Conference below for more details.
